We’re proud to share that mCare Digital has been recognised as a Regional Finalist in the Excellence in Innovation category at the 2026 Business NSW Sydney Business Awards.

Our team attended the Sydney Business Awards Gala on 10 September, joining businesses from across the region to celebrate innovation, resilience and business excellence.

Being named a finalist in the Excellence in Innovation Award is so meaningful to us.

Business NSW describes the award as recognising businesses that have implemented innovative solutions for new and existing needs through the introduction or improvement of a product, technology or application that impacts the wider community.

For mCare Digital, that reflects something we have been working towards for more than a decade.

Fourteen years of innovation in personal safety

Innovation has always been part of the way we approach personal safety.

For 14 years, we have been developing connected safety technology designed around real people and real situations, from older Australians and people living with disability to carers, families, service providers and, increasingly, Australian workplaces.

Our history includes a number of important milestones in wearable personal safety technology, including early smartwatch personal alarms, photo-based speed dial contacts, customised reminders, carer portals and mobile apps, GPS technology and connected safety solutions.

As technology has evolved, so have the ways people expect to use it. Personal safety devices no longer need to feel clinical, complicated or disconnected from everyday life. We believe safety technology should fit naturally into the lives of the people using it.

But for us, innovation has never simply been about adding another feature.

It starts with asking: what do people actually need to feel safer, more independent and better connected?

Continuing to listen, learn and innovate

Technology continues to change rapidly, creating new opportunities to make personal safety more responsive, intuitive and connected.

For our team, that means continuing to listen to the people using our technology, learning from their experiences and looking for better ways to solve the challenges they face.

Some of our most important ideas have come from understanding what people need in their everyday lives, whether that is greater independence at home, reassurance for family members or a safer way for an employee to work alone.

Innovation with a human purpose

Today, that same thinking can be seen across the mCare Digital ecosystem.

Our wearable personal alarms, duress solutions, mobile apps, monitoring options and ConnectiveCare® platform are designed to work together, providing greater flexibility for individuals, families, carers and organisations.

We’re also bringing our experience in personal safety into Australian workplaces, developing flexible staff safety and lone worker solutions for employees working alone, in the community, after hours or in environments where risk can change quickly.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, our technology can be tailored to different roles, environments and levels of risk.

A recognition we share with our community

Being recognised by Business NSW as an Excellence in Innovation Finalist is a proud moment for our entire team.

It also belongs to the customers, families, carers, organisations and partners who have shared their experiences with us over the years. Listening to those experiences has helped shape the technology we build and the problems we choose to solve.

Thank you to Business NSW for the recognition, and congratulations to all of the businesses recognised at this year’s Sydney Business Awards.
