NSW SafeWork rebate

Many small businesses struggle to keep staff safe when they’re working alone or off-site, particularly without the systems that larger organisations have in place. The NSW Government’s SafeWork Small Business Rebate provides eligible businesses with up to $1,000 back on approved workplace safety equipment, including personal duress alarms and GPS safety wearables.

The rebate has been in place for several years and is available on an ongoing basis. There’s no end date, but each business can claim once every five years. The hardware cost of a mCare starter pack falls exactly within the $1,000 rebate limit, meaning for most eligible businesses, the device cost is fully offset.

Note: Each device requires an ongoing monitoring and software subscription, which is not covered by the rebate. We’ll always make this clear upfront.

NSW business · Fewer than 50 staff · Valid ABN · Haven’t claimed in the past 5 years

STEP 2:

Complete a short SafeWork online session

SafeWork NSW requires businesses to complete a qualifying education activity before claiming. This is typically a 30–60 minute online session – straightforward and free.

STEP 3:

Select your mCare Pack and request a quote

Choose the starter pack that best suits your team, then contact us to receive a customised quote. We’ll provide a split invoice with hardware and subscription clearly separated, making your rebate claim clean and simple, and coordinate next steps for payment.

STEP 4:

Submit your claim and get $1,000 back

Upload your invoice and proof of payment to the SafeWork NSW portal. Rebates are typically processed within 8 weeks.
